Announcement
Before I get to this month's article I want to announce a change in the Terms page. I realize that very few, if any, of you ever actually read the Terms but this is a major change for us so I thought it deserved to be mentioned here. This change was put into effect at the beginning of December, 2007:
We are no longer accepting pages into our system that are not in the English language. One of the long-standing Terms states that all members must be able to read, and understand English so this should not be a problem. Any pages that were already in the system before December 2007 may remain in rotation unless they violate some other portion of the Terms. Once a foreign language page has been removed or suspended it can not be re-admitted.
Website Traffic &
Conversion Boosters
Creating quality content for websites can be quite simple. Unless you know the steps to use, and how to link them to your site, this will prove to be a difficult problem for you. Getting targeted traffic requires a little work. But by using your content you will be able to do this easily. Higher conversion rate will soon follow as you get both content and traffic to your site. Quality content can bring targeted website traffic. And with the targeted traffic comes the high conversion rate for you and your website. Of all the three factors, you will notice that getting targeted traffic is the one not easily attained. The bulk of your effort should be with getting pertinent inbound links and publishing free articles on websites around the Internet.
The quantity of traffic driven by inbound links and articles is less than that driven by search engines or directories but is more easily converted to sales. That is why it is better to put more time into getting inbound links and writing articles. One of the more crucial components of online marketing is to understand your website traffic. Analyzing your traffic statistics can tell you what your customers want and what they do at your website. If you have a deeper understanding of what you are creating you will be able to make some good tactical and advertising decisions. This is not only for your website but for your whole business as a whole. Along with the three essential factors of website traffic marketing, there are other important factors you should consider. The most and the least visited pages. The different pages of websites are made for a reason and you cannot expect them all to work in the very same way. There will always be the more and less popular ones. The popular ones should give you an idea what to offer more. While the least visited ones should be reviewed and given more emphasis. Figure out what that page is missing and what you can do to change it. Statistics. All hits should be recorded once a visitor comes into your site and clicks on an image or text link. Using this, you can tell the time spent per visit and if your site has somehow held their interest. When you see that you are getting a lot of website traffic but the time spent on your site is not even a minute, this is something you should look over. There might be something wrong with your site. If you are using traffic exchanges this may be a common occurence. You need some of this type of traffic but it shouldn't be your only resource. A really good web page will produce longer visits even from traffic exchange hits. Be sure that your visitor can open your page in a new window if they are viewing your site through a frame. Including framebreaker code in your page is never a good idea. Doing so will get your site banned by all traffic exchanges faster than anything else I can think of. Main entry and exit pages. These are huge reminders that not all your visitors arrive through your home page, so you need absolute navigation on every entry point to your site. What does that mean? You should be able to get from any page on your site, to any other page on your site, by clicking a single link or button. URL referral. This should tell you which search engines and traffic exchanges are giving you traffic and where the majority of your traffic is coming from. This will tell you which of your marketing partners are fullfilling their obligation to you and how your marketing and linking strategies are working. You are also able to tell which sites have links to you that you do not know about. Overall, this is a great way for you to send out appreciation notes to them. The search for keywords and phrases. When your site is listed on the search engines they will tell you what the hot searches are for your type of business. Pay close attention to this because some of what they have to say might surprise you. You already may be popular in the search engines but you do not have any idea that you are. You may also find that a search term thought to be weak is strong or one that you expected to produce a lot of traffic is not doing so. Knowing about these things will also be relevant for future references. Maintaining or increasing the website traffic that you are getting requires continuing work and maintenance. It takes time, effort, and research. What was producing traffic for you last year may not be effective this year. The internet is constantly changing and evolving and you must change with it or be left behind. Once you get into the flow of things you will find it less difficult. All you need is enough knowledge and patience.
Do You Like FREE downloads? Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Awards We are now entering the second month of our new awards program. Since we have received NO feedback on the change we must assume that you find it to be acceptable.
Sponsored Advertisement Get This Amazing System here. I am astounded! REALLY! Last month, in this newsletter, I put up a Deal of The Month that, I honestly believed, would have you all racing to the purchase page.
Instead, we
received NO orders at all! A $50 package for only $5.50! The only
possible reason for this is that no one read the advertisement. Well, I'm
repeating the same offer again this month to give you another chance. If no
one buys this package then there will be no further Deals offered.
There will be a surfing contest on Valentines day. The contest will begin at 00:01 on February 14th and end at 23:59 (or 11:59pm) Eastern Daylight Savings time the same day. We will be offering Pro Upgrades, Credits, Banner Impressions, and referrals as prizes.
There will be NO OTHER ANNOUNCEMENT of this contest. Members who do not read the newsletter will not know about it. Further,
you must send a Contact message to Admin if you believe you may have won a prize. Why?
We are doing this to be able to determine which of you is reading the newsletter. Those members who do not send the Contact message will not win,
even if they surfed the most pages. You will have up to 12 hours (noon Eastern
Feb. 15th) to send us the message. After that we will begin awarding prizes. You may
not surf the most pages but, if none of the top surfers send the Contact message, YOU could still win a top (even FIRST) prize! We expect to award 10 prizes but, if we receive less than 10 messages, all prizes will be awarded to those who send in the message.
If only ONE person sends in the message to claim their prize then that one person will win ALL THE PRIZES!!!!
